YOUR VOICE MATTERS
The Need and Opportunity
Americans value the arts and arts education. Yet converting this view into public policy and support remains a challenge. That’s why it is so important that we continue to educate policy makers the impact the arts on the quality of life, economic development, education, health and wellness, rural development, tourism, and urban revitalization.
ArtsNYS advocates for increased and sustainable funding for New York State Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts, as well as for policies that make the arts a priority, because we know where the arts thrive, communities thrive.
We are one of the 53 organizations nationwide affiliated with Americans for the Arts’ State Arts Action Network (SAAN), a coalition of organizations working to strengthen the arts the arts at the state level.
Our success depends upon your participation. We are developing a broad coalition—large institutions and community groups, business leaders and educators, artists and creative industry professionals, parents and retirees—of advocates for the arts. We invite you to join our efforts.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
We are about to launch our advocacy campaign to increase the NYSCA budget for 2019.
